Honda Elevate: Honda is set to make the global debut of its new midsize SUV, the Honda Elevate, in India in the first week of June 2023. The Elevate is the latest addition to Honda’s lineup and will be positioned between the WR-V and the HR-V. This new SUV is designed and developed on the 5th generation City platform, making it a stylish and capable vehicle for the modern driver.

The Honda Elevate is set to make waves in the midsize SUV market with its rugged and stylish design. Unlike the BR-V, which has a Crossover-MPV styling, the Elevate will come with proper SUV credentials. With styling cues taken from the bigger Honda SUVs, including the CR-V and the HR-V, the Elevate will have a strong nose and upright proportions. The front grille will feature a mesh-type design and will be flanked by sharper LED DRLs. The long bonnet and LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights will complete the front-end design.

The side profile of the Elevate is reminiscent of the HR-V, with slightly tapered rooflines and muscular wheel arches with chunky cladding. The SUV will have multi-spoke alloy wheels and door-mounted ORVMs with prominent roof rails. The rear of the SUV is inspired by the new WR-V, featuring wrap-around tail-lights with LED elements and halogen turn indicators, a sloping roofline, and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.
One of the standout features of the Elevate is its large glass areas, which should offer a more airy feel in the second row. The interior of the SUV will feature a bigger touchscreen infotainment screen and a digital driver display. The Elevate will also come equipped with an electric sunroof, which will allow passengers to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while on the go.
Safety is a top priority for Honda, and Elevate is no exception. The SUV will feature ADAS tech with features like a collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system, lane-keeping assist system, adaptive cruise control, and auto high-beam. The spy images also confirm that the SUV will get a 360-degree camera and Honda’s Lane Watch system to detect blind spots. Other features will include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM, hill launch assist, and an electronic parking brake.
Under the hood, the Honda Elevate will be powered by a tried-and-tested 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine from the City sedan. The engine will produce 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. A six-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox will be on offer. In addition, the Elevate will also get a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with a strong hybrid tech, called the e: HEV. In the hybrid setup, the petrol engine produces 98bhp and with electric assistance, it makes 109bhp. Its combined torque output stands at 253Nm. The SUV could also receive a 1.0L turbo petrol engine that produces 120bhp and 173Nm of torque.
The Honda Elevate will go on sale in the third quarter of 2023, during the festive season before Diwali. The new midsize SUV is expected to be a popular choice among buyers who are looking for a stylish and capable vehicle that offers a great balance between performance and practicality.
Overall, the Honda Elevate is an impressive addition to Honda’s lineup, and it’s set to make a big impact in the midsize SUV market. With its rugged and stylish design, impressive safety features, and powerful engine options, the Elevate is sure to be a popular choice among buyers looking for a capable and reliable SUV.
